The Museum of the Future located in the Financial District of Dubai, UAE. The goal of this museum is to promote technological development and innovation, especially in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). Founded by the Dubai Future Foundation.The Museum of the Future has three main elements: green hill, building, and void. On 22 February 2022, the Museum of the Future was officially opened at 7pm Dubai Time. The opening ceremony and the right to open the Museum were given to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Museum of the Future claims to be working to develop solutions to the challenges facing future cities, and is also a hub that brings home innovation and researchers, designers, inventors and financiers under one roof. The museum will host innovation labs dedicated to several sectors, including health, education, smart cities, energy and transport. At the same time, it collaborates with research institutes and universities to support and test new discoveries.
It is One of the world’s most complex structures, the Museum of the Future was designed by Killa Design architecture studio and engineered by Buro Happold. The building aims for a LEED Platinum rating in terms of its green rating. This torus-shaped shell sits on top of the building, consisting of 1,024 fire retardant composite panels coated with stainless steel, each of which has a unique 3D shape to create an Arabic script.
The exterior of the building is lined with windows depicting the ruler of Dubai's Arabic poem about the future of the emirate. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, has written three quotes in the Dubai Museum of the Future:
- We won't live for hundreds of years, but we can create something that will last for hundreds of years.
- The future will be for those who will be able to imagine, design and build it, the future does not wait, the future can be designed and built today.
- The secret of the renewal of life, the development of civilization and the progress of humanity is in one word:innovation.
Arabic calligraphy quotes from the Museum of the Future in Dubai were written by Emirati artist Mother Bin Lahej.
The 78-meter-high building will have 6 exhibitions above the 3-story podium, 1 administration floor, an auditorium and an F+B deck with retail, parking and services.
What to expect from the Museum of the Future.
The museum has seven floors dedicated to different exhibitions. Three floors focus on outer space resource development, ecosystems and bioengineering, and health and wellbeing. The other floors showcase near-future technologies that address challenges in areas including health, water, food, transportation, and energy.
The Museum of the Future aims to showcase future technologies with the aim of inspiring the public to think about different aspects of future thinking. The exhibitions include humanities, projects, current and prototypes in space, as well as a number of problem areas such as urban planning and the environment, as well as immersive digital exhibitions. There is also focus on DNA sampling and genetics on one of the floors of the museum, Because it will definitely play a big role in the future.
The first floor is for kids to have their own space. It is meant to be their own creative zones and the entire floor is an immersive journey for the kids.
The second floor of the museum focuses on the near future and the more tangible products that we can expect to see in the next two to three years, like autonomous cars and robotic arms.
The third floor is that there is also a need to take the technology hats off and to focus on oneself as a human being. The fourth and the fifth floors of the museum are technology driven.
There’s a ballroom and a space that can accommodate 1,000 people, so that major events and dialogues can happen there. There’s also a theatre that hosts 350 people.

The Museum of the Future is located next to the Jumeirah Emirates Tower in Dubai, 3.6 km from the city center.
By Metro: Use Dubai Metro for the best access (Emirates Towers Station, Red Line). The link bridge connects the metro station directly to the museum.
By Bus: Use the Dubai Bus Service network. The best service line numbers are as follows:27, 29, X22.
By Foot: Arrive by foot, bicycle, or electric scooter and use the bicycle racks provided in the self-park area

Entry Fee: Tickets price AED145 for any visitor aged three and above. Children under the age of three, people of determination and senior Emirati citizens will be able to visit the museum free of charge.
