Dudhsagar waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfall in Goa. It is located in the Bhagwan mahaveer National park in Goa, near the Karnataka border. This waterfall Cascades down to a height of 310 meter and flows through the forest fall of many flora and fauna. The milkflow of the mandovi river during the monsoon season is amazing. This waterfall is located on the Madgaon- Belagavi route of the Konkan Railway. Castlerock is the nearest railway station of the falls. If you board the train from there, the train has a mini stop near Dudhsagar. From there, you can reach the falls by walking along the railway track for about 1 kilometer. On the way there is a tunnel 200 meters long. If traveling by train, the train will cross a bridge at the Karnataka border. During the rainy season, you can sit on the train and take a look at the milk flowing from the sky. Dudhsagar fall is four tiered water fall.

Access to the falls will be suspended as the monsoon intensifies and across will be restored by October. Dudhsagar is located at a distance of 60 km from Panjim the capital of Goa. Dudhsagar is one of the most beautiful waterfall in india. Dudhsagar is the 5th tallest fall in india and 227th in the world. The train did not stop near Dudhsagar now when the Belagavi route was made broad gauge.


It can now be reached by taxi from Goan village, Mollem and Bhagwan Mahaveer National park. Dudhsagar's appearances in the movie Chennai Express Starring Shah Rukh Khan attracts hundreds of tourists. One of the highlights of that engineering skill was the construction of tunnels and stations that opened up the hills. The waterfall flows under the Arch- shaped railway bridge built in 1880. This waterfall is also known as Tambdi surla to some of the local people. The falls are not particularly spectacular during the summer season but during the monsoon season, however this falls are fed by rains and form a huge force of water. Railways call this part the Braganza Ghats.
