It is the best place for the residents of Sharjah who want to buy fresh, locally sourced seafood, which is free from pesticides and other additives.  This market is a 2-storey souq that spans a massive 1.07 million square feet. There are more than 400 shops in Sharjah Fish Market and 162 of them are specialised to only sell fish. However, there are 123 shops that sell meat and 118 that sell both fruits and vegetables, so while buying fish, you can also check out other grocery items. Apart from this, there are free tea and snack counters handled by the management for customers as they wait for their purchase.
