Escape the city. Embrace the lake. Akkulam’s charm awaits.

One of the most visited tourist destinations in the city, Akkulam is spread over eight hectares of beautifully landscaped gardens surrounding the Akkulam Lake. It is a place that bears witness to the natural beauty and cultural richness of Kerala. Offering the perfect blend of fun, relaxation and adventure, this village has a little something for everyone.

The Akkulam Adventure Park is the first such venture  in Thiruvananthapuram. It has many recreational facilities like aerial cycling, zip line, zip cycle, multi-vein walk, tree surfing, tire swing, bamboo ladder, fish spa, battery cars for children, musical fountain, monkey crawling, chameleon walk, balloon castle, Burma bridge, children's trampoline, bouncy castle, pedal go karts, coracle boats and many more.

Akkulam, near Sreekariyam, about 10 km from Thiruvananthapuram city center. Situated on the banks of Akkulam Lake, which connects to Veli Lake and the Arabian Sea. The biggest highlight of this space apart from its natural beauty is the plethora of recreational activities on offer here including the well-equipped children's park, a paddle pool, a swimming pool for adults, the Air Force Museum with Simulator, a Cycling Park and the Akkulam Adventure Park.

Surrounded by lush greenery, the lake is a haven and natural habitat for a variety of flora and fauna, including migratory birds. The mangrove forests in the area add to its charm and beauty. It is common to see kingfishers displaying their skills and gracefully gliding along the shore in search of fish and crustaceans. If it is your lucky day, you may spot playful otters roaming around, turtles basking in the sun, or even a cheetah or two peeking out from the bushes.
